What help is there?

If you’re struggling with paying your council tax or in arrears, contact them as soon as possible.

You can spread your council tax payments over 12 months instead of the normal 10 months to lower the amount that is paid each month. Speak to you council to set this up.

Is there any other help other than spreading your payments?

You may be eligible for a Council Tax Reduction if you’re on a low income or receive benefits or a reduced council tax bill.
